Intentions

This site exists to share ideas, materials and resources for educational developers and those in similar roles who are in a position to suggest and effect change in higher education to make it more inclusive. It’s more a curated website than a blog, and is very much a collective effort. Its ambition is to make learning and teaching, in the broadest sense, ever-more inclusive.

The structure is essentially this:

pages are used to explain ideas (eg this page or Awareness)
posts are used to provide examples of things people can do (eg Student input to the curriculum). Specific actionable suggestions always have the word ‘suggestion’ in their title.

You can easily access these by using the menu of posts which is by default on the right of the pages here.

The idea is to let good ideas be disseminated: we encourage people to use the ideas freely and adapt them, but if you have an idea that has actually made a difference or fills a notable gap, please get in touch and we can add it. Please see the template for suggestions.

The site is curated, in the sense that it should be a launchpad for action rather than try to duplicate work done elsewhere or become an unwieldy repository.
